  1. Sleep from 10-12 hours everyday resting on one leg.
  2. They are capable of flying at a speed of more than 60km/hr.
  3. They eat seeds by opening the shell with their strong beak and pull the edible part with their tongue.
  4. It is common that cockatiels sneeze several times throughout the day to clear their nostrils from small particles.
  5. Contrary to the habits of most other birds the males together with the females care for the young ones until they are ready to leave their nest.
